"Providing Solutions to the challenges of the gas industry through innovation, discussion  and thought  leadership"

Conference Speakers

WELCOME FROM THE CONFERENCE CHAIRMAN

"Australia, as the holder of significant gas assets and infrastructure, is the perfect location to hold the inaugural Global Gas Trading & Technology in 2011.  In recent years, the Australian natural gas industry has shown steady growth in both the domestic and export sectors and this is projected to continue.  Over the next 10 years, expected projects coming online will propel Australia to the second largest producer of LNG worldwide.

Australia has been compared to the ‘new’ Middle East with the country playing a similar role to that of Qatar 10 years ago.  With its ties to Asia and with the slowing of projects in the Atlantic basin, Australia’s importance is set to grow beyond measure in the world markets.

Western Australia in particular, with robust investment in the energy sector, provides the perfect backdrop for discussion and debate on the global gas industry.

I am delighted to be working with the Conference Executive Committee in putting together an exciting and thought provoking programme for the conference which will provide a forum for discussion and debate."

Paul C Young, Chief Marketing Officer, Exmar NV
